Final Happy Hour is March 15

After a successful five-year series of third Thursday happy hours in Seattle Center Armory, Seattle Center Productions will produce its final Seattle’s Best Damn Happy Hour, 5 pm-8 pm, Thursday, March 15.

Seattle Center created the monthly happy hours as fun, easy entertainment outlets for Seattle and regional residents. The events featured big and small game play, from Giant Jenga and miniature golf to Scrabble, cornhole and a wide assortment of board and video games. A master of ceremonies welcomed guests each month, and a DJ, often from campus resident KEXP, spun the music. Enticing themes such as laser tag, karaoke, bingo and this month’s theme, Collide-o-Scope, shaped many of the happy hours. Campus venues, including KeyArena, Chihuly Garden and Glass and Pacific Northwest Ballet, provided tickets as drawing and contest prizes, and Armory eateries offered food and drink specials.

Seattle’s Best Damn Happy Hours generated much happiness over the years, with a loyal following, who mixed with new visitors every month. The events complimented other free admission, evening programming such as Winter and Summer Fitness, Movies at the Mural  and KEXP & Seattle Center Present Concerts at the Mural. As Seattle Center ends this program, it will focus on new initiatives knowing that all good things come to an end.
