Watch Movies at the Mural – Free this August

Grab a blanket and join us for Seattle Center Movies at the Mural, August 7, 21, 22 and 28, at Mural Amphitheatre at Seattle Center.

The free movies, presented on a 45-foot screen, begin at dusk. So arrive early, spread out a blanket on the lawn, and watch while the sun sets and the big screen comes to life. The four featured films offer drama, adventure, nostalgia and fun to delight young and old alike. They make the perfect destination for a gathering of friends and family or casual weekend date. A cult classic kicks off our outdoor summer movie series for the 7th year. The schedule includes:

Saturday, August 7 – The Princess Bride (PG)  A cult classic fairy tale with swordplay, giants, an evil prince, a beautiful princess, and yes, some kissing.

Saturday, August 21 – Twilight (PG-13)  The first film in the blockbuster saga, Twilight is an action-packed, modern day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire.

Sunday, August 22 – The Twilight Saga: New Moon (PG-13)  In the second installment of the phenomenally successful Twilight series, the romance between mortal and vampire soars to a new level as Bella Swan delves deeper into the mysteries of the supernatural world she yearns to become part of, only to find herself in greater peril than ever before.

Saturday, August 28 – Star Trek (PG-13)  The greatest adventure of all time begins with “Star Trek” the incredible story of a young crew’s maiden voyage onboard the most advanced starship ever created: the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Seating is first-come, first-served. Low back chairs, blankets and bean bags are recommended. Large bags, large coolers/ice chests, umbrellas, video and audio recorders are not allowed.
