Bumbershoot 2016 – Early Bird Tickets!

After a highly successful festival in 2015, Bumbershoot—Seattle’s annual end-of-summer party will return to Seattle Center on Labor Day Weekend 2016. The three-day festival will take place Friday, Sept. 2 through Sunday, Sept. 4.

Early bird tickets, available at Bumbershoot 2016, will go on sale Friday, Nov. 20 at 12 noon PST. This 46th installment of Seattle’s festival celebrates music, art, and all things creative in the Pacific Northwest’s most vibrant city. The festival will again utilize more venues than in recent years including Memorial Stadium and KeyArena. Silent Disco, a fan favorite in 2015, will return to EMP Museum. All programming will be announced in spring 2016.

Bumbershoot’s tradition of supporting local arts and music will continue. In 2015, 40% of all programming was from the region.

Center for Infectious Disease Research, the largest independent, non-profit organization in the country focused solely on infectious disease research, will return as the official non-profit Festival Partner. As part of this relationship, AEG Live will donate a portion of each purchased festival ticket to the organization, and encourage fans to give as well, helping spread global health awareness. Over the next ten years, CIDR looks to advance the science to prevent, treat, and cure HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and emerging infectious diseases. Bumbershoot is honored to support this great cause, and together let’s build a healthier and more hopeful world.

Bumbershoot was established in 1971 as a city festival and has grown into one of America’s most respected annual celebrations of art and culture. It continually leverages the best of Seattle’s art scenes, showcasing the rich and diverse talent of the Pacific Northwest alongside national and international acts. Bumbershoot’s diverse programming includes live music, comedy, theatre, film, visual arts, children’s programming, and more. Visit Bumbershoot 2016 for more information.
