Uptown Counterculture takes place, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 at Counterbalance Park, 700 Queen Anne Ave N. The free community event brings together Uptown and Seattle Center arts and cultural organizations for an arts-filled, hands-on celebration that builds on the Grand Opening of KEXP 90.3FM on Saturday, April 16.
This informative, entertaining and family-friendly event officially welcomes KEXP to the neighborhood, connects neighboring arts organizations to the Uptown and Queen Anne communities, activates Counterbalance Park and highlights efforts to designate Uptown as one of the City of Seattle’s Arts & Cultural Districts.

12:15 p.m. – Welcome remarks: Jackie Ernst on behalf of Uptown Arts and Culture Group, Seattle City Councilmember Sally Bagshaw, and KEXP Executive Director Tom Mara
