Take advantage of the warm summer evenings and take in the tunes of some of KEXP’s favorite artists when KEXP & Seattle Center present Concerts at the Mural. The series brings live music to the Mural Amphitheatre stage for end-of-the-week entertainment, starting at 5:30 p.m., Fridays, Aug. 5 – 26, at Seattle Center.
This marks the 9th year of the series, which offers four, free, all-ages shows tailored to the culturally curious who seek to discover the best of the area’s independent music scene. Here’s the 2016 Line-up (* designates headliner):
Friday, Aug. 5: The Thermals*, Acapulco Lips and Mommy Long Legs
Friday, Aug. 12: Cavemen*, Naked Giants and Bread & Butter
Friday, Aug. 19: The Mynabirds*, Radiation City and Crater
Friday, Aug. 26: Special Guest (stay tuned for an announcement the week of Aug. 22), Kyle Craft and Industrial Revelation
Seating for Concerts at the Mural is on a first-come basis. Folding chairs and blankets are welcomed. Large coolers/ice chests, umbrellas, pets, video and audio recorders are not allowed. Come early to get your seats and enjoy the beer/wine garden (for people 21 years of age and older with a valid ID) starting at 5 p.m. Seattle Center Armory food merchants also will be open for food and drink.
