BARBARA BRYANT is in charge of the Customer Service unit at Seattle Center and markets our Festál series. After 30++ years, Barbara is retiring this month, and shares below how her time here has inspired her and changed her, for the better. We wish BB the best in her next chapter of life!
“Seattle Center seems to draw a certain personality type, and many of our employees stay here a long time. I’ve been here over 3 decades and a lot of people have done the same. We all have this personality [where we have] the need to fulfill the experiences of customers. It’s infectious– you’re surrounded by it. By working at Seattle Center, I have grown so much. It has helped me to be more flexible and to be more patient. Everyday here is something new and different. It’s helped me to become a risk taker, which I was not when I first started and I didn’t become one right away. I am now not afraid to try something new.”
