SEATTLE, September 9, 2024 — The Seattle Christmas Market returns to Seattle Center from November 21 to December 24 giving revelers an extra week to experience the magic of the holiday season.

Launched last year, the Seattle Christmas Market is inspired by the centuries-old yuletide tradition of European Christmas Markets and will once again transform Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavilion and South Fountain Lawn into a festive outdoor Christmas village bustling with holiday cheer.

“We’re beyond thrilled to return to Seattle Center for year two,” said Malte Kluetz, CEO and Founder of the Seattle Christmas Market. “The warm welcome we received from the community last year has inspired us to expand with new activations, 20+ additional craft, food and drink vendors, daily musical entertainment, and a 2024 Special Edition double-decker carousel, with unlimited free rides, as always.”

Visitors can peruse 80+ wooden huts with thoughtfully curated European and locally made crafts ideal for everyone on your holiday gift list. We’re talking one-of-a-kind charcuterie boards, hand-stitched leather goods, custom-designed hats, aromatic candles, traditional nutcrackers, hand crafted greeting cards, luxurious artisan soaps, decadent chocolates, freshly roasted nuts, and toffee popcorn. A variety of new food and drink vendors will join traditional favorites like raclette, spätzle, perogies, and of course, Glühwein.

The Winterdeck, located atop Fisher Pavilion, will be the new entrance to the Market, providing an additional 20,000 square-feet of exciting photo opportunities, activities, and Santa’s Snow Globe, an igloo-themed structure where Saint Nick will be on hand for photos.

Other new activations that will join the Lovers’ Lane light installation and the 50-foot walk-through Christmas tree with countless twinkling lights, include a 2024 Special Edition double-decker Christmas Carousel and the Fairy Tale Forest featuring German fairy tale inspired displays and excerpts from the classic stories.

Visitors can look forward to an abundance of festive decorations, more indoor dining space in the cozy ski chalet-inspired Alpen Haus, and local musicians performing traditional holiday music every day on the Flying Stage, centrally located on the second level of the outdoor Christmas Pyramid.

“Last year’s Market brought incredible energy and joy to our campus during the Winterfest celebration, and we’re excited to continue this new tradition,” said Marc Jones, Seattle Center Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships. “The Market is a wonderful addition to our vibrant array of holiday activities, and we can’t wait to share this festive experience with the community again.”

The Seattle Christmas Market will run from November 21 through December 24 (closed November 28) and is the ideal place to celebrate the joy of the season with friends and family.
