Artists at Play Open House – May 31

Please join Seattle Center and the Artists at Play design team, celebrated artists Trimpin and Judith Caldwell, Site Workshop and Highwire at a Design Update Open House, 10am – 12 pm, Saturday, May 31, in the West Bay of Seattle Center Armory Main Floor/Food Atrium. The event is for children and families who are interested in creating a delightful and inspiring place for people to play at Seattle Center.

Attendees may meet with design team members – artists Judith Caldwell, Site Workshop and play equipment distributor Highwire (team member, artist Trimpin, will not be able to attend) – and learn about the progress they have made in designing a children’s play area in Next 50 Plaza at Seattle Center.

The Artists at Play project will transform Next 50 Plaza at Seattle Center, an asphalt area just north of the Monorail platform and south of Memorial Stadium, into an artist-designed and child inspired play area.

The design team has met with young people across the city over the past few months to seek their input on the elements they want to see and hear in this artists-created play area.

For more information on the Artists at Play project visit  Seattle Center or call 206 684-7200.
