Celebrate Croatia’s rich heritage and Pacific Northwest Croatian American culture at the 22nd annual CroatiaFest.
PERFORMANCES
Featuring live tamburitza music and kolo dancing, headlined by Rakija Bend and the American Zagreb Junior Tamburitzans, alongside performances by Tamburaški Orkestar Kardinal Stepinac, Dunava, KlapaDooWopella, Vela Luka Croatian Dance Ensemble, Ruže Dalmatinke, Bonaca, Kišobran, Radost, Seattle Junior Tamburitzans, and Gorani.
ACTIVITIES
Exhibits include Croatian Americans in the U.S. Armed Forces: History, Service, and Partnership, and Time Traveler’s Guide to Dalmatia by author Brendan Weston.
Demonstrations to make Red and White Checkerboard cookies, božićna pšenica (Christmas wheat) crafts, and Limoncello (21+).
Chris’ Kids Corner: soccer-themed activities, art projects and more.
Basketball competitions on the Fisher Pavilion Rooftop.
FOOD & MARKETPLACE
Traditional Croatian fare, including spit-roasted lamb and grilled salmon honoring the region’s Croatian fishing community.
Big John’s PFI Konoba wine & rakija (brandy) room with live Croatian music (21+).
Marketplace of crafts and gifts ranging from wood products and ceramics to olive oil, jams/spreads, apparel, baked goods, and specialty imports.
