2010 Festivals & Events Guide

The Seattle Center 2010 Festivals and Events Guide contains information on the 22 Seattle Center Festal celebrations, campus-wide festivals and major events presented at Seattle Center during 2010. Look for them at the Center, city libraries, community centers and other information kiosks around town.

2010 Festal Schedule

Seattle Center Festal 2010 offers 22 cultural celebrations filled with art, music, foods, crafts and shopping. Join us as we explore and celebrate the cultural landscape of the region.

Tet Festival, Feb. 6 – 7

Join us for the annual Vietnamese Lunar New Year celebration, in its 14th year at Seattle Center. Tet Festival embraces Vietnam’s most popular holiday, welcoming the return of spring, while chasing out evil spirits with the traditional roaring lion dance and the crackle of firecrackers.

Memorial Stadium Meeting, Feb. 2

Seattle Center and Seattle Public Schools have come up with an innovative, forward-looking plan for future shared uses of the Memorial Stadium and Seattle Schools parking lot. Come learn about the project and share your thoughts at a joint pubilc meeting at Seattle Center on Feb. 2.

MLK Day Celebration, Jan. 18

Join in the celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and share in his vision and dream. You’ll enjoy a full afternoon of entertainment that recall the ideas and legacy of this great civil rights leader.

Winterfest Dec. 29 – Jan. 3

Seattle Center Winterfest offers some delightful diversions from the seasonal frenzy during this holiday week. All performances are free and open to the public. Please join us as we celebrate the season with some really outstanding entertainment and family activities.

Winterfest Weekend, Dec. 18-20

This especially spirited Winterfest weekend offers the breadth of inspiring music, from classical to Hip-Hop, Jazz and Gospel, presented by some of the region’s most evocative, unusual and impassioned artists. All performances are free and open to the public.
