Please join the panel reviewing proposals for future uses of the Fun Forest south areas, July 7, 2010, in the Center House Food Court: open house, 4:30pm – 6pm; meeting, 6pm – 8pm. The review panel would like your thoughts, ideas and comments on the best uses of the Fun Forest space.
The 1.6 acre Theater Commons and Donnelly Gardens at Seattle Center embraces sustainable design throughout and offers an attractive mix of landscape and hardscape and provides visitors with pleasant tree-lined pedestrian path.
Proposals submitted in response to the Request for Proposals (RFP) issued to redevelop all or some portion of the 1 ½ acre Fun Forest south area were posted on the Seattle Center website on June 11. Seattle Center also announced the members of the proposal review panel.
The Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES) announced the selection of Theater Commons at Seattle Center as one of the initial landscapes to participate in a new program testing the nation’s first rating system for green landscape design, construction and maintenance.
